Eddie has been around EMS since the early 90’s first as an EMT now Paramedic, an EMS instructor, and EMS course coordinator. Eddie has been the EMS director for Crockett County EMS since 2010. He also serves as the AOR for Crockett County EMS as well. Previously, he worked as a paramedic in Abilene and the surrounding service area. Eddie has worked in EMS from the busy, city services to the rural and frontier services of Texas. Early in his career he found a passion for teaching others about EMS and inspiring them to join. Eddie has been an active instructor for EMR, EMT, and AEMT classes as well as CPR, ACLS, and PALS classes. Eddie has been active in teaching vehicle extrication as well as serving as a fire instructor at the TEEKS A&M Fire School since 2008. After moving to Crockett County, Eddie became very active in the local Regional Advisory Council. He was elected Chair for CVRAC in 2007. Eddie also became active at the state level representing his local RAC at Governor’s EMS & Trauma Advisory Council in Austin, TX. In 2008, he was appointed the GETAC EMS Committee and is still active in that role today.
